Please remember that we must all tie into our school goals in 2010-2011 when we are in Professional Learning Communities. Think, as you work on our school goals below, of how you can 'fit' your work in small Professional Learning Communities to our school goals.

Four Guiding Questions of all PLCs

1. What do we want our students to learn?
2. How will we know if they learned it?
3. What will we do for the students who have not met the learning goals?
4. What will we do for the students who have met the learning goals?
Goal 1: Learning (language must be tweaked)
  1. To explore and utilize various methodologies to improve the learning of all students across disciplines.

Goal 2: Data (must be 1 goal)
  1. To create a form of assessment that can be analyzed equally across disciplines as well as discipline focused assessment that enhances student comprehension.
  2. Teachers will analyze data to improve student learning in all content areas in order for students to meet grade level criteria.
  3. To effectively collect informal and formal data to improve instructional strategies and to obtain authentic long term goals to improve student learning.
